Rather than travel to classic locations, I choose to explore the hidden beauty nearer by. I mostly work from a single exposure, developing the digital file to reproduce the scene witnessed as closely as possible.
A record producer for more than 25 years, I try to bring the same attributes of creativity, perfectionism and an eye for detail into my photography.
In some ways there’s a strong parallel. In both music and photography, I aim to capture the initial idea as accurately as possible, whilst being conscious that the essential character and soul of a piece may well be lost by over-polishing and perfecting”.
